Lime Sulfur - Autumn Use

• Lime sulfur can kill insects and their eggs that overwinter on the tree or in the soil. It's especially effective against scale insects, mites, and aphids.

When to apply

• Lime sulfur should be applied when the tree is dormant, such as in the winter. 

How to apply

• Lime sulfur is typically diluted with water at a ratio of 20 parts water to 1 part lime sulfur. It can be applied with a small paint brush, and it's best to apply it early or mid-day on a sunny day. 

What not to use on

• Some species of conifers, such as many spruce species, and azaleas do not tolerate lime sulfur.
