๐ฆ Deciduous Ailment
Asked Val at the end of summer why some of my deciduous trees are browning tips or all of the leaves and looking poor.
My elm leaf damage
Valโs maple example
Same maple showing โburntโ leaves.
Before the RO filter, I could barely grow a trident; all the leaves would have that burnt tip that might actually creep up the leaf.
Now, I might have a few of the newest leaves coming out from a shoot be burned. As the shoot grows the leaves are healthy with no damage.
Have read about the salt damage as well as a fungus (re Eric). Could even be a combo as both conditions occur in the soil.
Iโm thinking if your trees are growing out of the damage, then no harm. Just remove the browned leaves.
If tree is getting bad, probably roots are really damaged. Your idea of a wash is good, but then allow tree to dry, so itโs not permanently wet.
