Practice Notes

Practice Plan:

Justin Guitar

  • I recommend committing to 4 practice sessions a week.

  • Don't over-practice - it can lead to finger pain.

  • Start getting familiar with your guitar rhythm.

  • Play around with alternate fingerpicking and explore different options.

  • Play the songs you love - so many options now that you've learned the G chord. :)

  • Use the right pick - thinner picks are more suitable for beginners.

  • Finger Stretch: 1 minute

  • Alternate Picking String (Focus on pick angles, wrist, and arm movements): 1 minute

  • G Chord Perfect: 1 minute

  • Perfect Chord You Struggle: 1 minute

  • OMC G to C: 1 minute

  • OMC G to D: 1 minute

  • OMC C to D (or most challenging one): 1 minute

  • Strumming 6:8: 2 minutes

  • Song work: 10 minutes
