Pulling the Trigger

In response to someone having achieved their Chubby FI/RE target but hesitant to retire:

“At some point you’re trading time you don’t have for money you don’t need.

Only you can decide if you’ve hit that point or not, but if you have, then the conversation with your current employer is easy. You’ve done that job, you enjoyed it, but you want to try new things and you only have a finite amount of time to do them.”
