🌱 Trident Maple, #2214

Trident Maple sapling from Left Coast Bonsai, in person at PBE in Nov 2022. $10 dormant.

Leafed out in spring 2023, mostly leaves on the upper 1/4 of the sapling. With the desire of a shorter Shohin, or to develop lower branching—eventually pruning off the top. Greedily created an air layer to salvage the top as a Mame or shorter Shohin. Hope I do not damage or injure the main tree.
