Spring 2024, after the repotting rush, my plan to build and refine my bonsai pottery skills will include:

  • Dark red clay & white clay ✔️

  • Roller & thickness rails ✔️

  • Thin Plywood for moving or flipping work (must cut) ✔️

  • Hand trimming tools ✔️

  • Slab mallet (DIY) ✔️

  • Bevel wire cutter

  • 3/4”-1” hole cutter

  • 1/8” hole cutter

  • Personal stamp ✔️

  • Water-proof thick pattern sheets

  • Trim guide, stepped depths

  • Angled-wall guides (10deg, 15deg) from wood, 10” long x 4” tall

Projects:

  • Slab oval 9x6” x 2” tall (start taller, bevel walls, leather hard, trim to height, add lip & feet.
