GSBF 2023 Rendesvous Workshop observer:
Muck:
Akedama dust + shredded Sphagnum moss + Add water, mix and cover and wait 2-3 yrs
Put in bag and form to a flat patty (thin)
Cut w blade to strips and form a wall or moat around where the plant and soil will be—as this as possible
If roots overgrow over the years—remove muck, untwist wires but do not remove—lift plant and trim roots on the bottom and sides. Replace and remuck.
Note: Michael Hagedorn’s recipe calls for mixing 1:1 water to cornstarch, mixed over some heat.
