🔵 Black Ezo Spruce, #2349 A/B/C

Black Ezo spruce has slightly larger needles than red ezo spruce (Picea glenhii) and is less-frequently used as bonsai in Japan. It has a more blue-green cast to the needles and new foliage is a bright green.

Ezo being an old name for the Japanese island of Hokkaido, these occur there naturally as well as in high elevation areas of Honshu, Korea and parts of Russia.
