Bent Knee trunk is unique but unatural for a redwood. What could be the story?
The straight trunk after accentuates the bend
Suggest cutting to just above the bend, with no more than 2” of straight trunk (shape or bevel)
New growth will sprout from the cut cambium
Can air-layer the top
Consider angling the top more vertical
Unique shape becomes less natural but more artistic; may incorporate Shari or Jin
